Water Street Studios
We’re renovating the basement of the Old Shanghai/Salvation Army building and we want you to be a part of it!
Water Street Studios is a shared space for creative makers, event vendors and community gatherings in downtown Petaluma.
We have a variety of studio workspaces available for rent ranging from 150-600 sq ft ready for you to make your own. We also have five desk areas for event vendors and others who would benefit from the communal areas and collaborative nature of our space.
We look forward to hosting a variety of events starting in late spring/early summer. Follow along here or on our insta for updates.

Our Vision
We are here to create a sophisticated yet industrial space where artisan makers and event vendors can rent work studios or desk spaces at affordable prices in a central location, and bring the community together by hosting events, workshops and more.
JOIN US
Our goal is to open by May 2025 and we are looking for the perfect tenants to occupy the space. Whether you make messy art or you are quietly working on a novel, if your medium is ordinary or bizarre, we hope you will reach out!
